People have said the following good things from various internet websites and vendors about this particular Canon Powershot Camera Digital: "Face detection with digic 3 is great, if not incredible. Camera locks on human faces at up to 1600 iso even if you pan or move camera. For novice picture takers auto iso is a godsend and the auto preselect modes (control modes). Movie feature has time lapse mode. Much improved color over older models. Faster picture refresh taking time and faster everything. Extended video capacity. Large lcd on camera. Clarity and color saturation much higher and better. Battery life great, form factor cozy. Price is too good for what this camera does (price is really low)."

People have said the following bad things from various internet websites and vendors about this particular Canon Camera Powershot Digital: "3x zoom not so great. Red eye reduction could use better work. Sometimes pictures are too vivid and a little too unnatural if settings too high. Menu can be a little more simpler than what it is now."

Overall rating: 9 out of 10 excellent

Personal opinion: For the most part, this camera is superior in all of its features. In fact, it can do things so well that it does it *too* well which explains some of the above complaints. The menu could be simpler though. I'd advise using near max settings and not max setting so you don't get picture distortions or blurs. Other than that, you will get superior quality video and pictures that will capture every important moment in your life.
