Personal opinion of this cheap cameras: Most people were happy wth this camera. While by today's standards an old model, it was a huge bang back then. To this day, many people still use the SD500 because of its look and quality, and should you want to get this digi cam as a gift for someone, people still get them these (if they are on a tight budget or whatever).
